Youth Coaching At Worfield Cricket Club
The idyllic version of cricket on the village green has always aspired to be fun, fair and friendly, with a sociable atmosphere that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
We may be progressive at Worfield but still see cricket in that image, aiming to teach children not only how to play the game properly but to enjoy all its facets and appreciate why it is our national sport, intrinsic part of our heritage and so fascinating.
We are a very family orientated club keen to let parents and carers know that we are safe, effective and child friendly. You will not be surprised to know therefore that we hold ‘Clubmark Accreditation’ status which was awarded by Sport England in recognition of the quality of our management and playing programme, the way in which we pursue sports equity and ethics and for fulfilling our duty of care and child protection.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) consider us to be one of their ‘Focus Clubs’, because we demonstrate a commitment to long-term junior development, which is reflected in many ways including, for example, the way we provide qualified coaches to teach cricket at the local primary schools in Worfield and Claverley.
